Learn About Teacup Dogs & Puppies

Hi, I am a 3 year old, pure white Samoyed named Panda and I will be your guide through the great wealth of information that Dogs&Puppies.info offers.

First, a little about me. It all started about 15 years before I was born with a sweet and loving dog named Bob who was a mixed terrier. Terriers, by the way, can make great pets – see our article about Terrier Breeds. This was certainly the case with Bob, who was much loved and adored and, as can be expected, sorely missed when he passed away after 14 years with the family.

Well, about a year later, my human family decided it was time to find a new doggy companion and began a very long search for just the right one (which, of course, I turned out to be). They visited different shelters and perused the internet, gleaning as much information as they could about different dog breeds, trying to find the one that would best fit their lifestyle and needs.

In fact, they learned so much about different dog breeds, that they decided to start this website and put up this directory of breeds of dog in order to share their knowledge with the rest of the world and maybe to help a sweet, loving dog like me find a great home!

On their amazing search, they came across many interesting breeds, but only a select few stood out as possible candidates for their home. Some of the more notable ones were the small dog breeds, which you can read about here, and some of the mixed breeds, like the Puggle. My family even seriously considered purchasing an adorable little teacup puppy. But finally, it came down to just three choices: a Siberian Husky puppy, a Yorkshire Terrier puppy, or a Samoyed puppy!

In the meantime, I had been born, along with 4 brothers and sister to a lovely white mother and sold to a kind family who gave me as a gift to their young son, who adored me. Although this family loved me very much, they ended up looking to find me a new family because I got to be rather expensive with all the care I demanded (new toys, a fluffy bed, sweaters, etc.)

Luckily, the two families met up and I was quickly adopted by the new family and initiated into their happy home! I was only 3 months old, but I had already learned many, many ways to get myself into trouble. The first thing I did in my new home is astonishing to me, looking back now, but at the time seemed completely natural. Yes, I went on a seek-and-destroy mission and chewed everything I could possibly get my teeth on. I had a special affinity for leather!

When I was done chewing everything in sight, I had the sudden urge to relieve myself. So I found the nearest clean patch of carpet, claimed it as my own and took care of business! At the time I couldn’t figure out why every time I had to go potty I could never find the other places I had gone and had to find a new place, but I later learned that my mom used a pet urine remover to fool me! It really worked too, take a look at the story here.

Well, I now realize how hard it was for my family to keep up with the mischief I got myself into, but somehow we all made it through those trying times and settled into a comfortable way of life. Since then, I have learned many tricks, including finding lost balls on command and opening doors!

For the most part, my life with my family has been smooth going –plenty of bones, a warm, comfy bed to sleep in, and lots of quality time running around- though we did have a scare one time when my mom almost gave me the flu!! We learned all about the dog flu with that incident and recommend you read the story here.

Well, I hope you find our stories and articles interesting and informative! If you have any questions or need help with anything, you can contact my mom by clicking here. Check this directory of breeds of dog often, as we often post great new pearls of wisdom here! Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I have a few balls to chase before my afternoon nap!
